David S. Rubin, M.D., is director of the AIDS Designated Center and Specialty Care Center. His medical training at Cornell University Medical College was followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. He thereafter completed the fellowship in Infectious Disease at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Manhattan.
Dr. Rubin is a clinical assistant professor of Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. His special interest is the care of patients with HIV/AIDS, including running clinical trials with antiviral therapy, lecturing on topics related to therapeutics and the latest data in the field.
Dr. Rubin sits on several NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens committees including the Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committees. He has contributed both to journal literature and textbook chapters in Infectious Diseases and HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Rubin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is diplomate of the subspecialty of Infectious Diseases.
