Peter Silverberg, M.D., Chair of Anesthesiology
Peter Silverberg, M.D. received his bachelor's degree from the Columbia
College in 1973 and his medical diploma from the State University of New
York at Downstate in 1981.
After an internship in medicine at The Staten Island Hospital, Dr.
Silverberg completed his anesthesiology residency at
Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in 1984. This was followed by a
fellowship in neuroanesthesia at the Neurological Institute at
Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
Dr. Silverberg's contributions to medical literature have included work
on ventilatory topics in critical care medicine as well as pharmacology
and pharmacokinetics of the anesthetized patient.
