  Each year more than 800 men, women and young people provide volunteer service at The New York Hospital Queens. Among the special services to which volunteers may contribute is the donation program of QueensBloodDonor.
 

Take these steps to enjoy the rewards of personal growth and fulfillment...

  1. Call the department of Volunteer Services to arrange an interview
    (evening appointments are available)
  2. Commit to a minimum of 4 hours service per week for at least 3 months
  3. Provide us with a medical clearance, and, if you are under 18, parental consent. (Do not visit your physician before your interview).
  4. Participate in a volunteer orientation session

Volunteers enjoy a number of privileges within the institution, including:

  1. Complimentary meal on day of service
  2. Participation in annual Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony
  3. Annual flu inoculation and TB testing
  4. Limited use of the Health Education Library.
