The cardiovascular disease fellowship is a three year program designed to train highly skilled specialists and consultants in cardiovascular medicine. Our program is set in a busy urban teaching hospital equipped with the latest technologies in cardiovascular medicine. The program includes a core group of rotations that provides a well-founded understanding of contemporary cardiology. In addition, the research, elective, and flexible components of the fellowship allow the trainee, in collaboration with the program director and mentor, to fashion a program that prepares him/her for different career paths in cardiovascular medicine.
The fellow will be exposed to all areas of cardiovascular medicine including cardiac catheterization and intervention, electrophysiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac MR and CT, cardiac rehabilitation, as well as allied fields such as cardiac and vascular surgery. In 2010, the hospital unveiled a new building which houses new state-of-the-art electrophysiology and interventional laboratories.
The Program Director is Todd Kerwin, MD, FACC, FASNC, Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College.
