Sebastian Avolese, M.D. is a neurologist and director of the Center for Developmental Disabilities. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and was a chief resident at St. John's Queens Hospital from 1979 to 1980.
Dr. Avolese was formerly served as director of Medicine and of Ambulatory Care at Hospital of the Holy Family from 1980 to 1989 and served as director of the St. Charles Center for the Developmentally Disabled. He has worked with multiple organizations, including the Catholic Charities, to establish home medical care programs for the developmentally disabled, ambulatory care for underserved senior citizens and care for the hearing impaired.
