EVENT: New York Hospital Queens’ FreeMAT (the Freedom Medical Aid Team) will present a mountain of gifts collected from this year’s community toy drive to the U.S. Army- 77th Regional Readiness Command.
U.S. Army Brigadier General Frank Cipolla will accept the gifts on behalf of the families. City Councilman John Liu and State Senator Frank Padavan, are expected to be in attendance.

WHO: The Freedom Medical Aid Team (FreeMAT) has been actively involved in collecting donations for the United States Armed Forces personnel since April 2002.
This year, FreeMAT partnered with elected officials, local schools, businesses and organizations to collect gifts. Major partners include: Councilman Liu, Senator Padavan, Flushing BID (Business Improvement District) and several local businesses, St. Luke’s School and the Women’s Auxiliary of New York Hospital Queens. Gift donations also streamed in from New York Hospital Queens employees.
