About the Program

The Infectious Disease Fellowship Training Program at New York Hospital Queens is fully accredited and has trained 27 infectious disease specialists since 1988. The Program’s mission is to prepare trainees for clinical practice, teaching and clinical investigation of problems in pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology and treatment of human infectious diseases. Trainees are prepared to teach medical students, residents, and practicing physicians the fundamentals of infectious diseases.

Four positions alternate between three accepted one year; one accepted the next. Two three-month research rotations have no on-call. On-call is shared between four fellows during six three-month clinical roations.

Application

Submit Curriculum vitae and two letters of recommendation from medical residency faculty at least 18 months prior to anticipated starting date. Applicants may apply on paper or through ERAS. Our NRMP Number is 1822146F0. Personal interviews will be requested with qualified applicants prior to the Infectious Disease matching deadline for that year.
