Red Ribbon Brightens Queens Skyline, Sends Message About Heart Health
Details: While thousands of women across the New York area will be wearing red on Friday, February 6, as part of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” awareness campaign, the staff at one area hospital is going red BIG TIME.
At New York Hospital Queens, 16,000 square feet of red ribbon is wrapped up and around the seven-story wing that’s under construction. The “Go Red” symbol can be seen across Flushing from streets, expressways and by passenger planes flying into LaGuardia and JFK airports. In 2010, the new building will house the Heart and Vascular Center.
