Local Children Invited to Hospital to Meet Met’s Paul Lo Duca, Receive Free Gift & Photo with Santa Claus

Event: The Department of Pediatrics invites 450 local children from the Flushing YMCA and our young patients from the Pediatric Asthma Center and Theresa Lang Children’s Ambulatory Center to meet Met’s baseball star, Paul Lo Duca, as well as receive a free gift from Santa Claus.

When: Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Background: Every year, we celebrate the holidays with local children treating them to a free gift from Santa with a photograph, and a chance to meet a special guest star.

We are very excited to welcome Mets catcher, Paul Lo Duca, as our special sports star. He will meet with the children and sign autographs.

Santa Claus will be played by Frank Macchio, President of the hospital’s Community Advisory Council. Each child will be greeted by Santa and will receive a free gift on behalf of the Department of Pediatrics.
