Local Children to Attend Holiday Party at New York Hospital Queens

Children to Meet Mr. Met, Receive Free Gift & Keepsake Photo with Santa Claus

Event: The Department of Pediatrics invites 450 local children from the Flushing YMCA and young patients from New York Hospital Queens’ Pediatric Asthma Center and Theresa Lang Children’s Ambulatory Center to meet Mr. Met, as well as receive a free gift from Santa Claus.

When: Tuesday, December 11, 2007, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: New York Hospital Queens (Former Main Lobby)

Background: Every year, New York Hospital Queens celebrates the holidays with local children treating them to a free gift from Santa including a photograph, and a chance to meet a special guest.

The hospital is very excited to welcome Mr. Met, the team mascot for the New York Mets. He will meet with the children and sign autographs.

Santa Claus (played by Frank Macchio, President of the hospital’s Community Advisory Council) will greet each child and give a free gift.
