At weekly Pulmonary Clinical Conferences we meet to hold in-depth discussions on current medical literature, standards of care and new techniques as they relate to our patients with lung disease.
At our multi-disciplinary Tumor Board, which meets regularly, specific
cancer cases are
discussed by pulmonologists, pathologists, thoracic surgeons,
radiologists, and medical and radiation oncologists.
The Lung Center physicians and surgeons lead CME classes, are involved in the education of residents and fellows, and conduct grand rounds and other educational activities, including annual symposiums.
The Center is organized to work collaboratively with primary care physicians as both a resource and a referral center. We work in partnership with you to identify which types of diagnostic testing are needed, and then confer on the range of treatment options available, including referral to a pulmonary specialist.
