NYHQ to Host Briefing on H1N1 Virus for News Media, Community Leaders, School Officials

As the flu season approaches, New York Hospital Queens wants the community to be prepared.  To aid community leaders, local school officials, and news media in communications about the H1N1 virus and the impending flu season, New York Hospital Queens is hosting an educational briefing.
This briefing will enable these critical information gatekeepers to ask their toughest questions, and then pass along accurate information to their constituents, regarding:
· Vaccination
· Infection Control
· At-risk populations such as children and pregnant women.
· Diagnosis and testing
· When to go/not to go to an emergency room
· What to do if you become ill

Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 6:00 pm

Speakers will include experts on infectious disease and emergency medicine from New York Hospital Queens, and an official from the New York City Department of Health.
