Flushing, NY – Today, New York Mets right fielder Jeff Francoeur brightened the day of many young patients at New York Hospital Queens.

As part of the EmblemHealth-Mets Magic Program, Francoeur and team mascot “Mr. Met” spent the afternoon in the hospital’s pediatric department.

Francoeur read the children’s book, “Here Comes the Strikeout,” by Leonard Kessler to the kids and chatted with them individually.  Francoeur and Mr. Met also signed autographs and posed for photos, providing the children with wonderful memories and keepsakes.

New York Hospital Queens is a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System and an affiliate of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
