New York Hospital Queens Selects Rakhil Niyazova as December Employee of the Month

Rakhil Niyazova, a biller in the Department of Physician Billing and Reimbursement, has been selected December Employee of the Month. A resident of Fresh Meadows, Ms. Niyazova has worked at the Medical Center since September 2000.

A panel of hospital staff chose Ms. Niyazova because in their words, “She is fully committed to her job and the hospital. She is devoted, dedicated and extremely well organized. She always lends a helping hand without being asked. She is a true team player and a tremendous asset.”

Ms. Niyazova’s duties include reconciling billing inquiries, as well as posting and filing into the computer system. She is also responsible for verifying patient insurance information.

Ms. Niyazova said she finds her job to be interesting because she also troubleshoots and investigates informational discrepancies. She’s responsible for making sure information provided by the patient and the insurance company match up. She finds the investigative work to be a fun challenge.

“My department is like one big family,” said Ms. Niyazova. “The management staff are great to work with and everyone works together as a team to get the job done.”

In her spare time, Ms. Niyazova enjoys baking and going sightseeing. She has been married to her husband, Yuriy, for 18 years and has two children, Alexandra and David.
