Outpatient physical therapy was developed to help patients with a wide variety of rehabilitative needs. Each patient receives a comprehensive initial assessment. Dedicated staff works with each patient to develop a specific plan of care. This includes helping patients return to work, setting guidelines for recreational activities and fully maximizing a patient's potential to improve his/her functional capacity.
The outpatient physical therapy team consists of health care professionals skilled in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal, neurological and vestibular dysfunction that affects an individual's ability to participate in daily activities, movement and functional mobility.
The staff provides each patient with a comprehensive assessment and examination to develop a specialized rehabilitative program to maximize function. The clinician works closely with the patient to develop a specific plan of care. Each patient's plan is closely supervised to ensure maximum benefit and reach high therapeutic outcomes.
A prescription for outpatient physical therapy needs to be obtained from a medical doctor to ensure medical necessity for the services. An assessment by a skilled therapist will be performed to develop a specific treatment plan. Please be aware that if your insurance company requires a referral from your primary care physician, you must bring it with you.
