Pathology is the discipline in medicine that deals with the causes and mechanisms of human disease. Pathology is vital to the understanding of disease and its appropriate treatment. Pathology has evolved by the assimilation of knowledge gained through fields such as anatomy, physiology, physics, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, genetics, and cellular and molecular biology.

Radiology 

New York Hospital Queens offers a full spectrum of radiologic procedures, using state of the art digital imaging equipment. In addition to general radiology, the department provides Vascular Interventional services; and a Women’s Imaging Center including breast MRI, and Stereotactic, Ultrasound or MRI-guided biopsies. In conjunction with the cardiology team, radiology specialists perform cardiac imaging utilizing the state-of-the-art Siemens 128 slice CAT Scanner and MRI. New York Hospital Queens also has a newly renovated state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine treatment area. The  Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) allows physicians to immediately view patient exams from the doctor’s office via secure Internet access.
