NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens is one of the leading New York City centers for Podiatric Surgery and education. NYP/Queens is a major training center in Podiatry, and our department has expanded considerably in its delivery of both ambulatory and in-patient care.
Presently, the hospital has a team approach to the diabetic foot, employing the endocrinologist, internist, vascular surgeon, podiatric surgeon, and plastic surgeon in the treatment of complex and challenging problems resulting in the salvage of many lower extremities that would have otherwise been amputated.
In addition to comprehensive diabetic foot care, our podiatrists also provide excellent surgical services, employing state-of-the-art arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures for the treatment of all foot and ankle deformities and fractures utilizing the latest in internal and external fixation. Our surgeons also have extensive training and experience in the treatment of complex pediatric and adult reconstructive/realignment rearfoot and forefoot deformities, as well as bunions, hammertoes, and arthritic conditions of the foot.
