Flushing, NY – Warren D. Kroeppel, general manager of LaGuardia Airport, has been elected to the board of trustees of New York Hospital Queens. He joins the board of the 489-bed hospital as its 20th member.
A 31-year veteran of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey working in both LaGuardia and JFK airports, Kroeppel brings a proven management track record to New York Hospital Queens. A certified flight instructor and commercial pilot, Kroeppel received his master’s in business administration at Adelphi University.
Chairman of the board, George F. Heinrich, M.D. stated, “Warren Kroeppel is an excellent addition to the board of trustees at New York Hospital Queens. The state of health care in Queens is at a critical juncture, but we continue to thrive by employing creative leadership with the foresight to stay ahead of the challenges. The leadership, experience and common sense approach of Mr. Kroeppel in managing essential public services will be a valuable addition to our hospital.”

New York Hospital Queens is a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System and is an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
