Pictured, Stephen S. Mills, President and Chief Executive Officer of New York Hospital Queens, presents the “State of the Hospital” to members of the local community, including civic leaders, health facilities and elected officials. His message included key points about the economy and the need for continued advocacy on the state and federal levels to maintain budgeted funding for critical health care programs. He also discussed how NYHQ staff have handled the surge in patient volume due to recent surrounding Queens hospital closures and the H1N1 swine flu outbreak.
