Subroto Paul, M.D.

Dr. Subroto Paul is an Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and an attending surgeon in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He also holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Health Policy and Research. 

Dr. Paul received his undergraduate education from Yale University. He then earned his medical school degree from Harvard Medical School. He stayed in Boston to complete both his general and thoracic surgery residencies at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. He has also completed a Master of Public Health from Columbia Univeristy.

Dr. Paul has received many honors, including the Harold Lamport Biomedical Research Prize at Harvard Medical School, the Francis D. Moore, MD Award from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Harvard Medical School Class of 2006 Excellence in Teaching Recognition.

Dr. Paul has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles in thoracic surgery. Dr. Paul is interested in the minimally invasive treatment of of both malignant and benign thoracic disorders.
