Medical AssistantsAll Medical Assistants employed at CRT Surgical Associates are certified. They escort the patient into the exam room, take their vital signs and accompany the doctor during the examination. When doctor's hours are over, the M.A. sends specimens to the lab, gathers charts for the next day, files all pertinent patient information, autoclaves all instruments used during the day, and restocks all exam rooms when necessary.
Each physician has an assigned coordinator. Their chief responsibilities are to schedule patient appointments and answer questions. They handle all physician correspondence and any other tasks assigned by their physicians.
The Receptionist checks patients in and hands out appropriate forms to complete. For and established patient, the Receptionist will obtain all updated information. When the office visit is over, the Receptionist will book your next appointment, if needed.
If it is determined that a patient needs surgery, our scheduler will contact the patient to coordinate pre-testing and surgery dates and pre-certification from insurance carriers.
All billing is done directly through our office. Our Billers coordinate all invoice and payments with patients and their insurance carriers.
