TDC Development International President Elected to New York Hospital Queens Board of Trustees

Flushing, NY – New York Hospital Queens has elected a new member to the Board of Trustees.  Michael Meyer, President of TDC Development International, joins the board of the 489-bed hospital as the 21st trustee. 

Meyer is experienced with fostering growth and development in Queens.  TDC is a member of the F&T Group, a diversified real estate services company located in Flushing and Shanghai, China.  Under his leadership, TDC, in concert with the Rockefeller Development Group is developing Flushing Commons – a 1.7 million square foot mixed-use commercial/retail facility in the heart of Flushing.

Chairman of the Board, George F. Heinrich, M.D. stated, “We are on the cusp of opening our 190,000 square foot West Wing, and Michael Meyer’s expertise in operations and strategy brings an additional seasoned voice to our institution –one that strengthens our ability to think globally, and act locally.”

New trustee Meyer stated, “New York Hospital Queens is on the forefront of health care and medical expertise right here in Queens. This hospital continues to expand its ability to deliver the highest quality of care to the people who live and work in the borough. I look forward to supporting the vision and the mission.”

In addition to his current development projects in the borough, Meyer provides many hours of civic service as a Board Director with the Flushing Town Hall and Cultural Arts Center, the Queens Botanical Garden, and as Vice Chairman of the Flushing Business Improvement District. 

Prior to his work with the F&T Group, Meyer held management positions with Quest International, Inc., Accenture, Tishman Realty & Construction and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He received his bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and a masters in business administration from Harvard Business School.

New York Hospital Queens is a member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System and is an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
