The Theresa Lang Children's Ambulatory Center is a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home. We are also a teaching site for Weill Cornell Medical College pediatric residents, medical students and physician assistant students.
The center was designed to make children and their parents as comfortable as possible during what can be, at times, a stressful experience. The center strives to make waiting times as short as possible and provide a pleasant, child friendly environment with high quality patient care.
The center provides general pediatric and subspecialty care. We see patients from birth until their 22nd birthday. We offer primary care visits by appointments, same day visits when available, and walk-in/sick visits for our established patients throughout the day. Our evening and Saturday hours provide flexibility for busy families.
The staff is dedicated to helping parents and children with all their needs. Each child is assigned to a specific primary care attending pediatrician with years of experience in caring for children. As the center is part of a teaching hospital, children and parents may be exposed to pediatric residents and students, but the attending is always present to supervise and make all final decisions concerning the child's health.
The medical, nursing and clerical staff are all dedicated to providing patients with the most courteous and professional care available. We have a Care Coordinator team to help assist families in scheduling referrals and arranging for appropriate follow-up. The hospital's pediatric social worker is also on hand at a moment's notice when needed
