Gary S. Eglinton, M.D., Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Gary S. Eglinton, M.D., received his bachelor's degree from the U.S. Air
Force Academy in 1966, and his medical degree from the University of
Arizona College of Medicine in 1976.
He served as resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1976-80 at the
David Grant USAF Medical Center and was a fellow in Maternal-Fetal
Medicine (Perinatology) from 1980-82 at Women's Hospital Los Angeles
County/University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Eglinton
served as both a physician and a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
Dr. Eglinton has made voluminous contribution to the literature in many
areas of the specialty with particular emphasis upon low birth weight,
antenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy, and ultrasonography. He has also
authored a microcomputer based obstetric ultrasound network database and
reporting application used at Georgetown University, its affiliated
hospitals and New York Hospital Queens.
