The department provides 24 hour, seven-day-a-week coverage.
The
department provides the highest standard of care and utilizes the most
modern equipment to perform minimally invasive endoscopic and laser
surgery for procedures such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. For these
procedures we utilize endoscopic techniques to explore and treat
uterine, tubal, ovarian, and other pelvic pathology. This requires
smaller incisions, less post-operative pain, and permits faster
recuperation and return to normal activities. During 2010, approximately
1,900 gynecological surgeries were performed. Click

Our nursing staff continues to provide the educational base upon which patient comfort, reassurance and confidence rests. This is accomplished via "Prepared Childbirth" classes, counseling regarding women's health and planning issues, assessments and education regarding sexually transmitted diseases, and preventive services, including mammography and osteoporosis screening. Our emphasis on family-centered care begins with our nurses and social service support.
