The Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer Support Group

A group for women who have had a diagnosis of breast cancer in the last year. This is a 6 week fall program with weekly meetings featuring discussions on surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and body image.

The "Man-to-Man" Prostate Cancer Support Group

A group for men with prostate cancers and their wives. Monthly meetings ( beginning in Sept. 1997) provide information on surgery, radiation, nutrition, and psychosexual issues, and Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist Margaret Cawley acts as facilitator for group support interactions.

Patient/Family Cancer Support Group

Location: Room 303- NYHQ

When: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month

Time: 3:00 - 4:00 p.m


Look Good, Feel Better

A course for female breast cancer patients given in collaboration with the American Cancer Society. A cosmetician teaches women on chemotherapy the art of skin care and use of make-up.

Monthly meeting on Mondays
