Message from the Program Director James G. Ryan, MD
The Emergency Medicine residency program accommodates 10 residents per year, is 3 years in length and follows a post-graduate 1-3 (EM 1-3) format. The residency program is fully accredited by the Residency Review Committee for Emergency Medicine of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Applications for Emergency Medicine residency training at New York Hospital Queens are through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

1. Complete ERAS application
2. Personal Statement
3. Medical School Transcript
4. Three Letters of Reference
5. USMLE Scores
Applications will be accepted from September through December.
Interviews will be granted by invitation only October through January.
