Description:
Our Registered Nurse's mission is to provide quality patient
care to our patients and their families. As a Registered Nurse, you will
perform an age-specific plan of care for a designated group of patients
using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, outcome
identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
You will collaborate with physicians and other health team members in
coordinating and implementing procedures and treatments, using your
leadership skills and clinical judgment in coordinating patient care.
Responsibilities include:
1. Demonstrates strong clinical and critical thinking skills

Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and manage patient
care assignment

Performs initial and ongoing assessments using appropriate
techniques and resources

Develops an individualized plan of care, using the best
available evidence and/or research data to obtain expected and
desired outcomes

Implements and evaluates progress of interventions identified in
the plan of care

Discusses daily plan of care with interdisciplinary team and
identifies and coordinates interdisciplinary referrals as
needed
2 Acts as a patient advocate in all aspects of care

Respects cultural differences, religious differences and the
individuality of internal and external customers

Identifies and meets educational needs of patients and
families, including healthy practices and treatment
modalities

Nurtures collaborative and cooperative relationships with other
members of the health care team to facilitate patient care
outcomes
3. Administers medications correctly and safely

Correctly identifies medication: action, dosage, side effects
and implications for the patient

Meets standard on medication administration exam

Demonstrates preparation as needed

Educates patients and significant others related to drug
and food interactions
4. Assures responsibility and accountability for decision
making and patient care

Positively adapts to change and is responsive to new ideas

Practices within the scope of practice as outlined by the
American Nurses Association and other regulatory agencies
