New York Hospital Queens will expand and further modernize its main hospital campus by building major new structures. These will house improved facilities for existing services and will allow us to respond to the growing need for more critical care beds.

Blueprint drafts call for a new wing immediately adjacent to the existing main building consisting of five floors, (including one at basement level), with the potential for an additional four floors in the future.

The hospital's modernization and expansion plan also includes:

• relocation of several services within the main campus to consolidate treatment programs
• creation of a new hospital entrance with a patient drop-off driveway
• construction of a separate entrance for same-day surgery patients
