Each year, thousands of patients in Queens experience disorders of the bones, joints and muscles. The Orthopaedics Department at New York Hospital Queens offers the community the most sophisticated, high-quality orthopaedic care available anywhere today. The department’s staff includes a growing team of full time physicians as well as voluntary attending orthopaedic surgeons.

Orthopaedic Services includes sports medicine & arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, trauma and fracture treatment, hand and upper extremity care and pediatric orthopaedics.
Whether a child is born with an orthopaedic deformity or suffers trauma through accident or illness, the department’s pediatric orthopaedic team can provide the medications, orthotics or surgery to correct the problem. Areas of specialty interest and experience include congenital hip dysplasia, clubbed foot, slipped epiphysis, scoliosis and other spinal deformities. Staff members also train family members to properly care for children with special medical needs.
