Pre-Op Program

What is the Pre-op Program?

The Purpose of the Pre-op program is to prepare children and their families for your upcoming procedure or surgery. Surgery and procedures can be potentially frightening expereince. Our goal is to make you feel more comfortable through education and familiarities.

Why would it be helpful for your child?

• Familiarize you and your child with the hospital and where you will be on the day of your procedure or surgery.
• Decrease ann unnecessary anxiety or fear.
• Give you an opportunity to ask questions.

What do we offer?

• A walking tour of our facility to show you and your child what they will see in the hospital.
• A brief video to show what they may expreience when they are here.
• A hands on Child Life experience.
• An opportnity to ask any questions or voice any concerns that you have regarding your surgery or procedure.
