Queens is a wonderful, vibrant place to live and to work. One of New York City's five boroughs, it is a largely residential area that contains a variety of subcommunities of varied character and flavor. The borough's entertainment resources are huge, including theaters, parks, restaurants of every description, and clubs. Good housing is available in the clean, safe neighborhood around NYP/Queens. Many NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens house staff choose to live within walking distance, but this is by no means required.

The parks in New York have a list of things you can do no matter the season or the weather. Our parks hold many fairs, exhibitions and small concerts. We have playgrounds; bike trails, baseball & soccer fields and some of our parks are transformed into ice skating rinks in the winter season. When the weather heats up our parks offer many fitness programs and events to help keep you in shape. Our parks offer many free and low cost activities for all ages. Besides its architectural style it holds a diversity of materials making it one of the most highly-acclaimed libraries in the world--A great resource for all of your research and educational needs.
New York City offers an array of options when it comes to music and arts, which can cover all interests. We have a large selection of Broadway Shows in our brightly illuminated Time Square, located at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. You can also enjoy fine eateries, shopping, catching a movie just to name a few as you navigate your options. New York City has many art galleries and exhibitions (MOMA, MET, Lincoln Center, The Cloisters, NY Hall of Science, American Museum of Natural History) We have movie theaters and many of our parks as listed above host theatrical events and art exhibitions. You can find this in all the 5 boroughs. For those residents that are bringing their families there is so much to do in NY with the children. There are many open play gyms and activity centers like My Gym, Gymboree, The Childrens Musuem, and Kids Fun House, to name a few.
When it comes to nightlife you are in the right place. We have sports bars, comedy clubs, pubs, bowling alleys, pool halls, late night dancing, lounges, night clubs/dance clubs, jazz clubs. You name it, we have it. Dining in New York is great as we have a large array of diversity when it comes to food. We have diners open 24 hours and restaurants that are open as late as 4pm. So you have plenty of time to explore your options and get a quick meal. When it comes to sports New York has some of the greatest teams in the world. For Baseball we have Yankee Stadium located in the south Bronx. It is the home ball park of the NY Yankees. You also have Citi Field (Mets Stadium) located at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in the borough of Queens. We have our Basketball NY Knicks and Liberty at Madison Square Garden. For Football we have the Giants and the Jets. The Met Life Stadium is located in East Rutherford NJ. For Hockey we have the Rangers at Madison Square Garden and the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum. Soccer, we have the Metrostars at the Met Life Stadium, Magic at Bakers Field, and the New York Cosmos. Last but not least we have Tennis located in Flushing Meadow Corona Park (Arthur Ash Stadium).
