Dr. Wehbeh Wehbeh is a Core Faculty Member within the Medicine Residency Program at New York Hospital of Queens. He is board certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. He is the Associate Chairman and Director of Quality and Safety Programs in the Department of Medicine at New York Hospital of Queens. He currently serves as the Chairman for the Medical Staff Performance Improvement Committee. He had served as the Medical Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and an Infectious Disease Attending at New York Hospital of Queens for several years and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Currently he is pursuing his MBA degree at Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University. He received his medical education at St Joseph University in Lebanon and his Masters Degree in Biomedical Science from the American University of Beirut. His research interests are broad and include patient safety, performance improvement, mechanisms of resistance in bacteria, antimicrobial stewardship, infections in residents of Long Term Care Facilities, and West Nile Virus.
