Most children will outgrow an egg or a milk allergy by the age of 5 year’s of age                                  

How to avoid egg and egg products

Egg protein may be found in numerous products, such as baked goods, breaded foods, cream fillings, custards, candies, canned soups, casseroles, frostings, ice cream, lollipops, marshmallows, marzipan, pastas, salad, dressing and meat-based dishes such as meatballs and meatloaf.


The following ingredients indicate the presence of egg protein:


Egg (white, yolk, dried, powder, solids )


Egg Substitutes






For each egg, one of the following may be substituted in recipes.

  • 1 tsp baking powder, 1T water and 1 T vinegar
  • 1 tsp yeast dissolved in ¼ cup warm water
  • 1 ½ T water, 1 ½ T oil and 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 T fruit puree may be used for binding, not leavening



MMR Vaccine…..

Several vaccines contain egg protein (MMR, Influenza, Yellow fever ).

However the American Academy of Pediatric has stated that egg allergy is not a contraindication for the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella )

PLEASE, Consult your physician before receiving any other vaccines that c0ntains egg protein.
