SOME WAYS TO GIVE EXTRA CALORIES AND PROTEIN

 

POWDERED MILK ( 33 cal/tbsp, 3 gm pro/tbsp)

Add 2-4 tbsp to 1 cup milk, mix into puddings, potatoes, soups, cooked cereal

EGGS (80 cal/egg, 7 gm pro)

Add to casseroles, meat loaf, mashed potato, cooked cereal, mac and cheese

CHEESES (100cal/oz, 7 gm pro)

Give as a snack or in sandwich. Add melted to casseroles, potatoes, vegetable, soup

WHEAT GERM ( 25 cal/tbsp)

Add to cereal, mix in meat dishes, cookie batter, casseroles

MAYONNAISE, SALAD DRESSING (45cal/tsp)

Use liberally on sandwiches, on salads, as a dip

EVAPORTED MILK ( 25cal/tbsp)

Use in place of whole milk, desserts, baked goods, meat dishes, cooked cereals

SOUR CREAM (28 cal/tbsp)

Add to potatoes, casseroles, dips, baked goods

SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK, 60cal/ tbsp)

Add to pies, puddings, milkshakes, smoothies, mix with peanut butter and spead on toast.

PEANUT BUTTER (85cal/tbsp, 4 gm pro)

Serve on toast, crackers, bananas, apples, celery

CARNATION INSTANT BREAKFAST(130 cal/ pk and 7 gm pro)

Add to milk shakes, smoothies

GRAVIES (40 cal/tbsp)

Use liberally on mashed potatoes, meats, bread, vegetables
