The following ingredients indicate the presence of milk protein

Artificial butter flavor

Casein and caseinates

Cheese flavor

Curds

Ghee

Hydrolysates (casein , milk protein, whey, whey protein)

Lactalbumin, lactalbumin phosphate, lactoglobulin,lactoferrin

Rennet, rennet casein

Recaldent, used in tooth whitening

Whey in all forms

 

MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

Milk protein may be found in many things, such as margarines, bread, cookies, cakes, chewing gum, cold cuts, crackers, processed and canned meats and soy products.

Sheep’s and Goat’s milk ARE NOT safe for people with cow’s milk allergy.

 

KOSHER DAIRY: A D or the word dairy following the circled K or U on a product label indicates the presence of milk protein or the risk of milk protein contamination.

These products should be avoided.
