The Pediatric Emergency Department at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens is located near the corner of Main Street and Booth Memorial Avenue in Flushing, Queens.

The Department is a separate unit dedicated to pediatric care and we have 16 semi-private treatment areas to allow us to assess each patient. We care for patients ages 0-21, with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. Our providers have special training in pediatric emergency medicine that allows them to be experts in the management of trauma and resuscitation as well as more routine pediatric conditions (fever, ear infections). Each patient and family access to a wide variety of pediatric medical and surgical specialists who assist us in caring for children. In cases when the specialists are not on site, we are able to easily access the range of services provided by the entire NewYork-Presbyterian network. Some of the features of our pediatric emergency department:

  • Nurses with specific training and credentials in pediatric emergency care
  • Physicians and associate providers with years of experience in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine
  • Access to a 24/7 dental emergency department
  • Radiology services are contained within the emergency department—Ultrasound, and CAT Scans are only a short distance away
  • relationship with the Theresa Lang Pediatric Clinic and a 16-bed pediatric inpatient unit with dedicated pediatric hospitalists.
  • As a Network Hospital of the NewYork-Presbyterian Enterprise, we can easily access any kind of health care services; this includes transfer to another hospital within the NYP if needed.
