Specialty Care Center

The New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens has been designated and AIDS Center by the New York State Department of Health. The Center offers comprehensive HIV/AIDS services. Our case management team is composed of physicians, nurses, a nutritionist, social workers, oral pathologists and pastoral care representatives. In addition to providing state-of-the-art medical therapy, we offer HIV testing, psychosocial intervention, ophthalmology, OB-GYN services, dental care, nutrition counseling and supplements.

Members of our staff are experts in the HIV field. Our Medical Director and Nutritionist have lectured extensively on the national level and are on the Boards of Directors of numerous HIV/AIDS professional organizations. Furthermore, the staff has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. A list of publications and video tapes can be made available upon request.
