Mammography
The Women's Imaging Center has vast experience in breast imaging,
including both screening and diagnostic (special problem) mammography.
Each week, approximately 150 mammograms are performed under the close
supervision of a radiologist who is a members of the Society for Breast
Imaging.
The Center operates three dedicated mammography units, all approved
by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Stereotactic
needle biopsies and fine needle aspirations are available and performed
on request. In addition, the staff frequently performs localizations
prior to ambulatory surgical biopsy. Pathological correlation is
done on all biopsies.
Ultrasound
All outpatient obstetrical-gynecological ultrasound examinations
are performed in The Women's Imaging Center. A separate entrance
has been designed so expectant fathers wishing to view prenatal
sonograms may do so without disturbing the women in their private
waiting room.
Fetal echocardiography is performed in conjuction with a pediatric
cardiologists, and amniocentesis in conjunction with referring obstetricians.
