Flushing, N.Y., January 1, 2011, Update 9:36 a.m.-- New York Hospital Queens welcomed it's first baby of 2011 at 12:01 a.m., a baby girl, Selina Wong, weighing 7 lbs, 12 oz., born to proud parents Ting Li and Richard Wong of Fresh Meadows, N.Y. This is the couple's first child.
"It's exciting," says mother, Ting Li, who originally hails from South China. "And unbelievable, I never though I would have one of the first babies of the New Year."

Among the first gifts the family and baby received from the hospital was a $1,000 savings bond and a congratulatory basket of flowers and baby goods.
