Spring Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art to Benefit Cancer Center at New York Hospital Queens
Business and Humanitarian Leaders, Prabha and Kanak Golia, to be Honored
EVENT: A Spring Night Gala is New York
Hospital Queens’ major fundraising event. NYHQ will present the
Pacesetter Award, the hospital’s highest honor, to Prabha and Kanak
Golia for their support of the health, education and social well-being
of the community, locally and in India. Proceeds will benefit an
expansion of The Cancer Center at NYHQ. The Golias have accepted a
leadership role in the initiative to expand The Cancer Center at NYHQ.

FYI: The Cancer Center at NYHQ
has been recognized with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the
Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons. NYHQ is
one of only three CoC-approved programs in Queens County.
Mr. Kanak Golia is the President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Perfume Center of America, a family-run, global
enterprise for which Mrs. Prabha Golia is head of management and sales.
The Kanak and Prahba Golia Charitable Foundation supports charities
dedicated to children and women’s education, medical needs for the
disabled and the management of orphanages.
New York Hospital Queens is a member of the
NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System and is affiliated with the Weill
Medical College of Cornell University.
