New York Hospital Queens to Provide Free Skin Cancer Prevention Lecture

EVENT:
Did you know that skin cancer is the most common cancer and accounts for nearly half of all cancers in the U.S.? To help educate the community, New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ), in partnership with Queens Library HealthLink, will provide a free lecture on skin cancer risk factors and how to reduce the chance of getting the disease. 

Members of the press will have the opportunity to take photos and interview the presenter, Mitchell Chorost, M.D., director, Surgical Oncology-NYHQ, and associate director, NYHQ Cancer Center.

FYI: The Cancer Center at NYHQ has been recognized with an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons. NYHQ is one of only three CoC-approved programs in Queens County.
