Flushing, N.Y., June 9, 2014 – New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ) has increased access to cardiology services in Astoria via the practice of Emmanuel Troulakis, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C., located at 30-18 37th Street. This practice is now a member of the New York Hospital Queens physician group, New York Queens Medicine & Surgery, P.C. Serving as a cardiologist and member of the NYHQ medical staff for more than 30 years, Dr. Troulakis provides community members with a higher level of cardiac care, near where they live and work.
Dr. Troulakis has expertise in treating cardiovascular issues such as acute coronary syndrome, heart blockage, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and unstable angina. In addition, he provides preventative health and wellness guidance that can affect a patient's overall health. His patients have access to an array of services at, and clinicians affiliated with, NYHQ.
“Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in New York City,” said Stephen S. Mills, president and chief executive officer, NYHQ. “Right here in Queens, we want to help fight this disease by expanding our cardiac services, and so our community members don’t have to leave Queens to find the care they need.”
Members of the community can make an appointment with Dr. Troulakis by calling 718-278-0100. NYHQ will continue to acquire and build additional community-based practices in 2014.
